It requires a charismatic religious leader to keep a torch of hope burning despite decades of difficulties and harshness. Bishop Munib Younan has continuously denounced victimization, refused exclusivism when calling for unity, justice and equality for all. By doing this, he reminds us never to underestimate the power of hope. In this Festschrift, co-workers and friends from different churches, communities and universities in Middle East, Europe, Africa, America and Asia wish to greet Bishop Dr Munib Younan and to, express gratitude for his service in the mission of the Gospel, justice and reconciliation.
