"With its striking range and penetrating depth, Brill's Encyclopaedia of the Neo-Latin World traces the enduring history and wide-ranging cultural influence of Neo-Latin, the form of Latin that originated in the Italian Renaissance and persists to the modern era. Featuring original contributions by a host of distinguished international scholars, this comprehensive reference work explores every aspect of the civilized world from literature and law to philosophy and the sciences." Hakuteos antaa kattavan kuvan latinan kielen käytöstä eurooppalaisessa kulttuurissa, tieteiden, taiteiden ja kommunikaation saralla renessanssista nykypäivään. Sen avulla voi tutustua uuslatinaksi kutsutun kielen merkitykseen mm. uudenajan alussa kehittyvien luonnontieteiden tai vaikkapa katolisen kirkon sisäisen kommunikaation kielenä 2000-luvulla.

Lexikon des Mittelalters (LexMA) is the standard encyclopaedia for medieval studies and a research tool for the medievalists of all disciplines. Based upon the encyclopaedia published in German between 1977 and 1999, LexMA's 36,700 signed articles written by 3,000 authors covers all aspects of medieval studies within the period 300 to 1500. Its geographical scope covers the whole of Europe, part of the Middle East, and parts of North Africa to document the roots of Western culture and those of its neighbours in the Byzantine, Arab and Jewish worlds. The International Encyclopaedia for the Middle Ages-Online (IEMA) is an entirely new supplement to the Lexikon des Mittelalters (LexMA) Live links with the International Medieval Bibliography (IMB). Lexikon des Mittelalters Online on keskiajan historiaa laajasti ja monitieteisesti käsittelevä hakuteos täydennysosineen. LexMA Online perustuu keskiajan tutkimuksen merkittävimpään vuosina 1977-1999 Saksassa ilmestyneeseen 9-osaiseen tietosanakirjaan Lexikon des Mittelalters. Tietokannan sisältämä artikkeliaineisto kattaa keskiajan tutkimuksen laaja-alaisesti. International encyclopaedia for the Middle Ages (IEMA) on LexMA-ensyklopediaa täydentävä osa. Online-hakuteosten LexMA & IEMA sekä International Medieval Bibliography (IMB) välinen linkitys mahdollistaa yhteishaun niistä kaikista kolmesta.
